Like any well organized group we rely on our past experience to grow and change as we move forward. Every year our events get better, bigger and involve more of our community.

Board of Directors was elected at the AGM in March 2005, and took office April 1st, 2005. |

10 new members joined the Chamber of Commerce in 2005. |

The Chamber hosted its 4th Annual Networking Dinner and Grand Fundraiser in April 2005. More than 260 local business people attended and $7,000 was raised for the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital. |

The Chamber hosted its Annual Golf Tournament in August 2005 at the Canadian Golf and Country Club. Many local businesses registered their teams. |
 |
|
During the year, the successful completion of the 2005 Carleton Place Tourism Guide was accomplished. |

|
A partnership was formed with Lanark County Tourism in the development of a Tourism Guide for all of Lanark County. |
 |
|
Participation in twelve tourism trade shows. These took place in Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, Syracuse (N.Y.) and Harrisburg (P.A.) |

The Chamber successfully organized the 2005 Canada Day festivities in Riverside Park with the generous support of local business. |
 |
|
A successful partnership between the Town of Carleton Place and the Chamber of Commerce resulted in the development of a comprehensive map of the town, its parks and recreational facilities. |
 |
|
The Chamber staffed the tourism kiosk that was visited by over 300 residents and tourists. The staff provided over 600 information referrals, answered general inquiries, maintained an inventory of brochures, maps, guides and event information. |

Worked with Notre Dame High School to provide tourism and office experience to a high school student. |
 |
